Pleasant Hill Documentary

Ramsie, Robert, Mary Wilson, Ann

Henry W. Grady spoke of the South's great potential to flourish after the Civil War, and he believed that African Americans could share in the South's prosperity. However, African Americans in the South did not experience this flourishing Grady described. The black neighborhood of Pleasant Hill in Macon, GA, showcased the troubles African Americans faced in the period between 1877 and 1908.
